SITOTROGA

The European grain moth Sitotroga cerealella feeds on stored products such as wheat or barley. A female moth can lay up to 200 eggs. We use these eggs as host eggs for the reproduction of the Trichogramma and reproduce them in-house throughout the year.
In addition to being used for the reproduction of the Trichogramma, the eggs of the Sitotroga moth are also suitable as host eggs or as food for the reproduction and rearing of other beneficial insects such as Chrysoperla carnea, Macrolophus spp., Nesidiocoris tenuis or Orius spp.
