Biological crop protection for maximum yield while maintaining high biodiversity is at the center of our entrepreneurial thinking and acting.

Since 1995, we have been developing effective, environmentally friendly crop protection for our customers – for healthy food, sustainable agriculture and a future in harmony with nature.

With over 30 years of experience, innovative products and in-depth expertise, we are a reliable partner for farmers across Europe who want more: yield, responsibility and biodiversity.

Our history

  • 1995

    Founding of Biocare

    The company was founded by Wilhelm Beitzen-Heineke in the barn of a three-sided courtyard dating from 1786.

  • 1997

    Automatic production plant

    Expansion of production capacities through the development of an automatic production plant for TRICHOSAFE® cards, funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).

  • 2001

    TRICHOSAFE® balls

    Introduction of the newly developed TRICHOSAFE® balls.

  • 2002

    More production space

    Expansion of production by renting additional production space in Hullersen.

  • 2003

    Europe

    BIOCARE enters the European market.

  • 2011

    Introduction of the ball thrower

    Introduction of the newly developed ball thrower for the mechanical application of TRICHOSAFE® balls.

  • 2012

    New production facility

    Acquisition of a new production facility in Markoldendorf and relocation of the main production there.

  • 2014

    Drone application

    First successful use of drones for applying balls.

  • 2014

    Central Germany Innovation Award

    The Central Germany Innovation Award was presented for the realization of the fully automatic production of cellulose balls using a deep-drawing technique for the TRICHOSAFE® balls.

  • 2015

    Expansion of the management team

    With Annette Rusch, a long-standing and experienced manager from the company is joining the management team.

  • 2015

    The second generation joins the company

    With Elisa Beitzen-Heineke, the second generation is now also taking on responsibility in the company.

  • 2016

    ATTRACAP®

    Expansion of the product range with the introduction of the newly developed biological agent ATTRACAP® for wireworm control in potato crops.

  • 2016

    Göttingen Innovation Award

    Presentation of the Göttingen District Innovation Award

  • 2017

    Innovation award for ATTRACAP®

    The agra Innovation Award 2017 for ATTRACAP® as a bioinsecticide against wireworms in potato crops

  • 2018

    Family business

    Sebastian Beitzen-Heineke joins the company and supports the company in technology development and production management.

  • 2019

    CDU Northeim District Council Future Prize

    Award ceremony for the CDU Northeim District Council Future Prize

  • 2020

    25th company anniversary

    Wilhelm Beitzen-Heineke transfers the majority of his shares to his children Elisa and Sebastian Beitzen-Heineke.

  • 2022

    New product development TRICHOCARE

    Entry into plant protection for ornamental plants and vegetable crops under glass with the newly developed product TRICHOCARE®

  • 2025

    30-year company anniversary
